Orewa

Located approximately twenty-five minutes north of central Auckland and has become increasingly popular for those who still need to work in the city but seek a beautiful coastal lifestyle. The town of Orewa stretches right across the beautiful three-kilometre beach and offers a broad sandy promenade at low tide. Extensive grass reserves and a children’s playground border the beach. The town centre itself has a wide selection of eateries, shops, bars, and supermarkets that are all located a flat stroll from one another. 

Hatfields Beach

Hatfields beach is family friendly community located north of Orewa. It is renowned for it’s small, quiet, sandy beach which is great for families and has a picnic area along with an all tide boat ramp. Hatfields Beach consists of slopes, hills and valleys and offers an affordable lifestyle that is also within close proximity to all that Orewa has to offernd supermarkets that are all located a flat stroll from one another.

Over the year ending 31 December 2020, there were 427 sales, making up approximately 27% of sales on the Hibiscus Coast. The median sale price was $1,050,000, higher than the median sale price for the entire Hibiscus Coast which was $950,000. Sale prices over this period ranged from $419,000 to $3,450,000. The year-on-year median price was up 5% compared to 1 year ago; up 7% compared to 3 years ago, and was up 30% compared to 5 years ago. The average days to sell was 37 days, slightly quicker than the average of 39 days for the Hibiscus Coast.

The median sale price was $760,000, much lower than the median sale price for the entire Hibiscus Coast which was $950,000. Sale prices over this period ranged from $525,000 to $1,700,000. The year-on-year median price was up 1% compared to 1 year ago; down 10% compared to 3 years ago, and was down 7% compared to 5 years ago. The average days to sell was 32 days, a bit quicker than the average of 39 days for the Hibiscus Coast.
